LBS ACHIEVES GREEN DRAGON - 11 April 2008
LBS Builders Merchants are delighted to announce that they have achieved Level 2 of the Green Dragon Environmental Standard. This comes as a result of its commitment to eliminate or reduce any potential adverse environmental impacts.
As a professional and environmentally conscious company, we acknowledge the impact that our operations may potentially have on the environment and our clear objective is to minimise any impact on the environment from various sources including energy and fuel consumption.
We have developed and implemented an environmental management system which includes understanding relevant environmental legal obligations and taking actions to ensure that these obligations are met.
Our customers can be assured that we at LBS are continually looking to improve on existing processes by further developing our environmental management system.
In addition to our current environmental programme, we are in the process of obtaining FSC Chain of Custody for the timber products we sell as we believe in responsible forest management and sustainability.
